Application makes all the difference
Even a great sticker can peel or bubble if it's applied wrong. A few simple steps help your stickers stick firmly and stay looking perfect. Here's how.
Clean the surface first
Make sure the surface is clean, dry, and free of dust, grease, or moisture. Stickers won't bond well to a dirty or oily surface — this is the most common cause of peeling.
Choose a suitable surface
Stickers stick best to smooth, flat surfaces. Rough, textured, or very flexible surfaces are harder for adhesive to grip. For bottles and laptops, use durable vinyl stickers.
Peel carefully
Peel the sticker slowly and evenly from the backing, holding it by the edges so you don't touch the adhesive too much (oils from your fingers weaken the stick).
Apply from one side
Place one edge down first, then smooth the sticker across to the other side. This pushes out air as you go and prevents bubbles getting trapped underneath.
Press down firmly
Once placed, press the whole sticker down firmly, paying special attention to the edges and corners — that's where peeling starts. Smooth it with your finger or a flat edge.
Let it set
Give the adhesive time to bond before handling or getting it wet — especially on bottles and items that get used a lot. A little patience means a much longer-lasting stick.
For curved surfaces
On curved items like bottles, apply slowly and smooth as you wrap, pressing firmly so the edges don't lift. Vinyl stickers handle curves best.
